Daily Walks
Seasons at Daily Walks
A chronological journal of observations, small details, and the changing seasons around
the water’s edge.
About this journal
We are Farah and Baz — a Malaysian Malay doctor and a British business owner who chose to make Putrajaya our home five years ago. Drawn by the calm of the lake, the open skies, and the call to prayer that carries gently across the water at dawn, we settled here with the intention of building a slower, more rooted daily life.
Each morning at 7:30 AM, before clinic hours and business meetings begin, we walk the lakeside paths together. What started as a simple routine for health and conversation gradually became something more — a quiet observation of community life unfolding around us.
Over time, familiar faces became part of our mornings: regular joggers, elderly couples walking hand in hand, cyclists greeting one another, children on their way to school. The changing light, the shifting seasons, the stillness of the water — all small details that make this neighbourhood feel alive.
This journal is a record of those moments. Not grand events, but the steady rhythm of lakeside living — community, connection, and the beauty found in ordinary mornings.
