Plot Twist: Umai Disappears… Enter Q-Bistro 🤖🍛

So… the long-standing, much-loved Umai Restaurant has officially called it a day. For a while, many of us were in denial — “It’s just a renovation,” we said. “They’ll be back,” we said.

Well… plot twist — Umai has packed its bags and moved next to the swimming pool and DoubleTree Hotel

And in its place? Q-Bistro has moved in.

Now, some of you might already know Q-Bistro from the Diplomatic Quarter — so it’s basically like that one friend who shows up everywhere. And yes… I can literally see it from my balcony, so I’ve had front-row seats to the transformation 👀

I took my parents there recently, and to be fair — they actually enjoyed it. But the real star of the show? The robot server 🤖
Because nothing says “fine dining” like being served by a machine that looks like it escaped from a sci-fi movie.

Food was good, vibes were decent… but I’m still deciding if I went for dinner or a tech demo.

What do you all think — upgrade or downgrade?
