Rainy Friday Lunch at 10 Gram Ayer 8— Lake Views, Good Food & Reflections

Visited 10 Gram after Friday Prayer on the 15th May 2026 at 2:30pm. The large eating hall was fairly full and the weather outside was rainy, giving the café a cosy atmosphere. It was mostly ladies on their lunch break enjoying the afternoon crowd and ambience. The café also had a relaxing lake view which made the rainy afternoon even more peaceful.

Before eating, we are reminded of the beautiful Sunnah of mentioning the name of Allah:

“When any one of you eats food, let him mention the name of Allah (say Bismillah). If he forgets to mention the name of Allah at the beginning, let him say:
‘Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu’
(In the name of Allah at its beginning and at its end).”

I ordered mushroom soup, Aglio Olio Seafood, and a chicken salad with no dressing. For my drink, I had an iced long black. The food arrived quickly and everything was delicious. The total bill came to RM70, which I felt was reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

Overall, I would give it a 7.6 out of 10. The food and atmosphere were very enjoyable, however some marks were lost because the venue itself is starting to look a little dated. Despite that, I would happily recommend everything I had to eat.
